I spoke with members of HeyCosmo’s development team the other day about changes that are on the roadmap to improve user enjoyment and the usability of our current HeyCosmo applications. I was impressed by the items they have on their plate at this time, most of which will be included on this blog site at a later date. However, there are improvements to HeyCosmo Concierge and HeyCosmo Blaster that are on the forefront and will likely be available in the immediate future.
Retrieve Message Feature
A big issue that our team has been working on is giving HeyCosmo Blaster users (the recipients of the Blast) the ability to retrieve messages that they may have missed. This has been the subject of numerous email and blogs lately. I was told that within the next couple weeks, if you receive a HeyCosmo Blast from a friend but missed the call, you will be able to call back from that phone and retrieve your last message. I will follow-up with this when it is ready. You will no longer have to feel that you were left out just because you couldn’t get to your cell phone fast enough. Go ahead and take that shower without worrying that the message will miss you—your friends will probably like you better after the shower.
Record from Voice
The HeyCosmo Blaster option, “Record from Voice” (step #1) will soon be working as an alternative to typing your message (text-to-speech). This feature will allow users the option of a more personal message to be sent to the call recipients, as well as making HeyCosmo Blaster a very effective organizational tool to use from a cell phone. The current text-to-speech works really well, but lets face it, it sounds a little like the woman from your GPS is calling you.
Application User Flow
The team is striving to improve user experience with a new look and feel with the Concierge and Blaster website apps. These changes will be mindful to user flow patterns. I was asked not to be very specific on changes that are being made, but our users will be very happy.
We have already implemented a Block/Unblock button on our website for people who feel that someone is bugging them, or abusing their phone number. People you know should be the only ones contacting you, with the exception of HeyCosmo Concierge calling businesses.
We would encourage you to make comments to this post, but you are also welcome to send any suggestions to me at HeyMike@HeyCosmo.com.
Mike
