Spring Brings a Blossoming to HeyCosmo

HeyCosmo, along with Blaster and Concierge, is 6 months old (for public use), but it hasn’t all been wine and roses. (September, 2008) gave DEMOFall 08Blaster and Concierge a strong face to the public along with a lot of mostly positive press—the negative was mostly the result of misconceptions of what our app does and doesn’t do.

The development teams at HeyCosmo haven’t been just sitting back on their laurels, but have been working hard to implement many of the updates and changes our faithful HeyCosmopolitans have suggested, along with other apps that will be released in the very near future.

Users of Blaster have already noticed and shown their approval of the message that Blaster call recipients get concerning the ad that might play at the end of the message. This was where we had some confusion in the past when an unsuspecting Blast recipient receives the call and immediately thought they are being targeted by an unsolicited advertiser. In many cases the call recipient hanged up without realizing that it was a friend calling them; immediately thinking their phone number was incorrectly on a marketing list. This change has been a very strong improvement for our users and showed that even if we can’t follow up every email and phone message personally, we do listen and act on concerns.

We also have our strong supporters of HeyCosmo Concierge who have integrated this application into they way they find information and communicate with businesses and vendors to save everyone time. With recession fears in every business sector, Concierge maximizes the time involved in searching for reasonable bargains. Concierge really does help the users “get things done in 60 seconds or less.”

More obvious to our HeyCosmo users are the changes to our website, though it has been a slow transformation into a more workable interface. Thank you for your patience through this spring blossoming and feedback to help us improve your experience with HeyCosmo Concierge and Blaster.

Getting ready to release new projects

HeyCosmo is constantly moving forward with new projects and interesting applications. For our devoted HeyCosmopolitans this blog has been a source of information—when approved for release here. However, there is another source that our devoted have found—Twitter. Yes, you heard it right. HeyCosmo has a Twitter site that you can follow for brief posts. Go to: http://twitter.com/mrheycosmo and click the "Follow" button.

Twitter has become an important application in the Web 2.0 sphere and HeyCosmo, with HeyCosmo Blaster and Concierge, welcomes the not-so-new neighbor.

HeyCosmo wants you to have the "luck of the Irish"

With St. Patrick's Day closing in (Tuesday, March 17, 2009) the teams at HeyCosmo are getting closer to the release of our newest application. The actual release date has not been given, but I can say that this new app is intended to help our users achieve the, "luck of the Irish." And with these economic times we could all use a little help.

How, you may ask, can HeyCosmo's current apps help the typical HeyCosmopolitan get things done for the coming St. Patrick's Day? I intend to use Concierge to find the perfect pub that carries my favorite ale. It isn't every day that I drink the hearty brew, but with Concierge I will find the Pubs that will allow me to get away from the typical Irish imports like Harp Lager, and enjoy the Irish experience folk music with a large Guinness Extra Stout or O'Hara's Irish Stout sitting in front of me.

I'm not Irish by birth, but one day out of the year I get to be Irish. With Concierge I intend on narrowing down the list to find that perfect place. I will organize my friends by using HeyCosmo Blaster so they have a say in which pub we go.
